May 12 through August 18, 2002. The exhibition was organized by the Dallas Museum of Art and curated by Charles Wylie, the DMA's Lupe Murchison Curator of Contemporary Art. Thomas Struth is considered one of today's most important artists for his riveting photographs that capture physical and psychological aspects of cities, people and nature.

The Gilded Age Exhibition

Composed of 60 paintings, sculpture, and decorative objects from the late 1800's and early 1900s, this exhibition presents works from the collection of the National Museum of American Art, including a full-length portrait of Elizabeth Winthrop Chanler by Jon Singer Sargent. Other spectacular highlights include Apollo with cupids, a decorative panel by Augustus Saint-Gaudens and John La Farge that once adorned the dining room of Cornelius Vanderbilt's palatial home on Fifth Avenue in New York City, as well as St. Gauen's bronze
Pantheon, Rome, 1990, C-print, 76x54 in.

Adams Memorial and Paintings by Childe Hassam, Albert Pinkham Ryder, Henry Ossawa Tanner, Windlsow Homer and George Inness. In the J.E.R. Chilton Galleries.

The Voyage of The Icebergs Exhibition

On the eve of the Dallas Museum of Art's centennial anniversary, the DMA will celebrate Frederic Edwin Church's The Icebergs in the Museum's fourth-floor Tower Gallery. This masterwork of American painting will appear by itself, dramatically lit and richly accented with swags of crimson velvet drapes. This display emulates the painting's original 1861 debut, when visitors stood in line and paid 25 cents to see a single spectacular work of art. The Icebergs and the chromolithograph made of the painting will also be on view in this exhibition.
